Had a quick check-up at the doctor yesterday. All looks great, she said. I got to hear the baby's heartbeat, which was a relief. I've been a little worried since I came down with that nasty cold weekend-before-last, and I've had this stinkin' cough for two weeks now. I've been coughing so much that at this point I'm afraid my baby will be born with shaken-child syndrome!
I'm having blood drawn next week for an Alphfetalprotein screen (AFP). My doc says she wants me to have the test done to screen for neural tube defects, since the NT screen I had a few weeks ago does not test for them. Also, I scheduled my "big" ultrasound - April 24th. Hopefully we will find out the sex of the baby!
